Become a True Knight
The life of a knight begins not with glory, but with humility. A young squire rises before dawn to muck out stables, polish armor, and run endless drills with wooden swords. For years β sometimes decades β they serve their lord with no promise of advancement.
The Path of the Squire
At the age of seven, a young noble may be sent to a lord’s household as a page. They learn riding, courtesy, and the basics of combat. At fourteen, if they show promise, they become squires β personal attendants to a knight.
The Ceremony of Knighthood
When the squire has proven their worth β in battle, in tournament, or through a deed of exceptional valor β they are called before their lord and the ceremony begins. The touch of the sword upon the shoulder, the words of the oath, and the new knight rises as a full member of the order.
